Can Tiger Woods reach old heights again?
Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods was once the number one in golf. Tiger was born on 30th December 1975 and has been playing professional golf since 1996.
The American professional golfer won his first major in 1997. He was only 21 years old at the time, setting a record of being the youngest player ever to win a major. After his first major, with time Tiger just got better and better.
In total, he won 100 professional wins and has been a sports sensation for many years but lately he has not been able to find his form.
For some time now, there has been tremendous debate on now that Tiger is not performing as he used to, “Can Tiger reach old heights? Can he get back to number one? Can he be the best again?”
Golf fans have different views on this particular topic. Some believe that Tiger’s reign is over. He is too old now and it is time for someone else to be on the top, someone young like Rory McIlroy.
Others are of the idea that this is just a speed bump in his career. He will be on top of the table in no time and soon would find his trophy winning form.
On this particular topic of “Tiger’s form”, not only the fans but also the analysts have a slight disagreement.
Some are of the view that Tiger has lost his form for good and will not be able to win any more Majors. They believe that he should retire now and leave the game to the youngsters. This way he would be remembered as the best, otherwise he will only lose
his dignity.
The other group of analysts believes that recently Tiger has not played as well as he used to but he will find his form and will emerge as the best again.
They are of the opinion that Woods has not played well due to the recent events in his personal life.
Tiger himself admitted that he was not able to concentrate on his game, due to his divorce. They think it is a rough patch in the American’s life and it will soon pass.
Tiger, himself is very confident that the worst has passed and now he can concentrate on his game and achieve his goals of winning his 5th Major Title.
In his recent interview, Woods said, “I’m hitting the ball as consistently day-in, day-out as I did then”.
He added, “I feel like I’m driving the ball much better than I have. I’ve got some heat behind it and its very straight. My Iron game is improving. So everything is headed in the right direction at the right time”.
Tiger seems to be very confident about his game and he believes he can still win a few more titles before retiring.
This all being said, no one can be sure as to what lies in the future for Tiger Woods. Is this the end or is it just a new start? Only time can tell.
