He's a perennial nearly-man, and some called him a bottler after he played it safe at the Bob Hope Classic a few weeks ago, rather than going for glory. Can he break his duck this week?

Well, on the basis that he's the best golfer never to have won on the PGA Tour - yet - he's got to get that monkey off his back at some stage, doesn't he? There's no Tiger Woods or Steve Stricker at the tournament, while Phil Mickelson's game appears to be off at the moment - maybe Clarkey can do something here, having finished fourth and second in two of his last four US events. He could at least be worth an each-way bet...
