Can Tina Fey be scheduled for Sat. Night Live Election 2008 skits on VP candidate Sarah Palin?

is she the best female comedian for such skits on her and the upcoming Republican-Democratic debates and speaking appearances?

I don't see any reason why not.  Ms Fey is working for NBC on 30 Rock and all.  But SNL requires rehearsal time and all.  Imagine if you had two jobs and each required 16 hrs a day.  This is what it would be like.  Of course if the actors go on strike then this discussion is pointless.

All that aside, I would love to see Tina do a few skits.
