Can Tyson g*y beat Usain Bolt can Usain Bolt even beat himself

Usain Bolt is a phenomenal sprinter he decimated the 100 metre world record at the Beijing Olympics and is the fastest man on the planet. There is another man in his shadow who hates being there. The second fastest man is American Tyson g*y and he is determined to beat the lighting quick Jamaican.

Tyson g*y has won numerous sprinting titles and has a best time of 9.69 seconds in the 100 metres race. His problem is that he has to contend with a very fast sprinter who is always just one step ahead of him in races. The racer in front of him is Usain Bolt; the current world record holder in the 100 metres race and Tyson is gunning for him.

Being a very competitive person Tyson hates being second and is looking to better his time in order to beat Bolt and beat the world record. He may be able to do so because the determination that he feels is increasing every day. He is hounded by injury and personal issues though. He is just recovering from another injury after his painful groin injury he had recently. The issue is that his arch nemesis Bolt is living it up and enjoying the high life and does not seem to be bothered by injuries. The problem for Tyson is that his best time of 9.69 is the same time that Bolt set and that blew everyone away at Beijing and he only gets half the amount of recognition as Bolt. It seems the fact that Bolt is a lot taller than him might have something to do with it.

These frequent injuries have made Tyson work just that much harder if he wants to beat Bolt. He had a hamstring injury in 2008, then a crushing groin injury the following year. To beat Bolt he basically has to get the best start of his career, run the fastest he has ever run and hope that Bolt gets a bad start. He may have a fighting chance if he can get 100% fit and train like he has never trained before.

The sport of sprinting is a fascinating one with a scientific angle to it as well. Studies have been conducted on things such as the length of a sprinter's stride and also the frequency of the strides. This is one area where Bolt has a distinct advantage over g*y because of the fact that he is much taller than the American; he has a longer stride length than g*y. What g*y needs to do is basically improve the length of his strides while maintaining the same frequency of strides that he has at the moment. This is going to be a very tough call for Tyson because he cannot increase his height to increase the length of his strides and so he has to find the extra length from somewhere else and that is going to be on his and his coach's minds for a long time to come.

It is a bit unfair for g*y because even though he is just as fast as Bolt, the Jamaican gets so much media attention that he is left lingering in the shadows. The two athletes couldn't be more different personality wise either. Bolt is confident, outspoken and at times cocky, while g*y is quiet, reserved and reflective. He hardly says two words to anyone and is not known for his showmanship. This could be a reason why the tall Jamaican sprinter gets all the attention. The media loves a guy who shows off and is flamboyant and that is exactly what Bolt is. Tyson is trying a new tactic to get the media and Bolt out of his mind. He has started a process which he calls getting into a 9.5 state of mind. So basically he has to get down to 9.5 seconds in order to beat Bolt. It looks like an impossible task but with the determination and mental fortitude that Tyson has by the bucket load, he might just pull it off.

Sports rivalries are great but they can really mess with an athlete's head. Tyson g*y is in the middle of a muddle at the moment and needs to clear his head of all the problems that he is facing and then he might just beat Usain Bolt and become the fastest man on the planet.
