Big argument twixt me and me m8 I beleve that there is nothing worng with calling an Animal a Human Animal. I say that seeing as we evolved from a common stock it is perfectly fine to call a animal "A human Animal"..

My m8 disagrees and says"u can't call an animal human because human is a word used to seperate the groups from animal and human and i am not suggesting humans aren't animals but animals aren't human"

  1. A human is a member of the set of organisms called animals.  Therefore, a human is an animal.   However, there are other animals that are not human.  That is, you can call a human an animal, but you cannot call other animals human.

By analogy, you can call a Brit a European, but you cannot call all Europeans Brits.

  2. You cant call it a human animal cos thats a contradiction in itself. A human is what describes us - animal is what describes the other species. The difference being our application of our intelligence.

  3. Humans are animals and human like animals are called hominids

  4. your friend is right its not a human though is it ist the name that separates us

  5. Humans are animals but not all animals are human. Chevrolets are cars but not all cars are chevrolets. We are animals in th phylum chordata sub-phylum vertebrata, class mammalia...People want to make humans "special " but we are an animal , more evolved in intelligence but an animal nonetheless.
