Can U guys explain this quote to me?

Ability without education is like a tree without fruit.

Basically, if you have the ability but don't nurture it, then you can never have succeed and produce good work. Like a tree, if you don't water and  fertilise it then it will not grow and it will not give you fruit.

Ever heard the phrase " the fruits of you labours"?

This is not to say that you need to go to college or university after school or that you cannot gain education from reading books on certain topics!

If you have the ability to do something but you don't know how to do it because you never learned how, then it is like a tree that can produce fruit but just doesn't because it doesn't know how..  I think, or at least that is how interpret it.
