  1. no way - yuck!  the stuff is horrible.  Also the 'fresh' milk in the US is apparently treated to quite a high heat, so to a Brit like me, tastes similar to UHT.

  2. Although not technically 'fresh' it could be considered so if it is used in a recipe that uses fresh milk. Skimmed UHT milk tastes most like the real thing and I use it all the time at home now as I can buy it in bulk and don't run out. Must have my early morning cuppa!!

  3. UHT milk is short for ultra heat treated meaning it can be kept for longer due to the presevation. It can be kept in room temperature and still can kepted for as long as one year. But must be used within one week of opening. So the answer is no.

On the other hand, fresh milk must be kept 4 degrees or less in the fridge and can only last for around 10 days max due to the homogenisation and pasterisation of the product.

  4. No because UHT can stay good for a long time and fresh milk can't

  5. No, it's horrid stuff, I'd rather not have a cup of tea than have that in it and I'm a tea-a-holic!

  6. No, because its Ultra Heat Treated to  preserve it,

  7. It was only fresh the day the cow was milked. After that it went through a horrible process of heat treatment making it taste foul, fit only for use in dire emergencies - like nuclear war but not much else !

  8. No
