Can Valeri Liukin finally relax now that his daughter Nastia Liukin has won Gold?

I was just thinking that the pride he felt when his daughter won the gold medal will be the highlight of his life.  Can you imagine any better feeling then the world looking upon your prodigy daughter with love, admiration and respect as she receives the greatest Olympic honor.

He competed with the Russian gymnastics team in the Olympics (I think like 20 years ago) and won silver medals but never the gold.  This gold medal that she won is as good, if not better, then if he had won it himself.  So, the pride is compounded.

So, yes, he can relax now.

No. He is going to go home and beat his wife. How the h**l do we know what Valeri Liukin is going to do?

He can probably relax a little, but Nastia still has to compete in the apparatus finals.  And Valeri did win a gold medal in the Olympics, in 1988.  I can only imagine how proud he must be.
