Can We Knock Off The U.S.-Russia War Talk?

There's been a flurry of questions about the U.S. going to war with Russia over the Georgian situation. Maybe these blood thirsty armed chair generals should either enlist or go back to playing their video games. War is cataclysmic, not orgasmic!

And we still have people bitching about how Russia started the war.

Look at the facts.

Georgia invaded South Ossetia 08-08-08.

Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia fought back.

By the end of the night, 1000 South Ossetian civilians dead.

Russia sends in more troops to help peacekeepers.

It is interesting how the masses jump from bandwagon to bandwagon..From puppy tossers, to blame Mr Bush for everything the puppets will always come out in force.

This is proof that the media does dictate how many humans think..I thank god that I am not one of those people..

All of a sudden WW3 is now with Russia and not Iran. My how things change in a week. Maybe next week we will be discussing WW3 with China again since the olympics will be over..

Your so right. Some folks here just want an enemy with an old timey face on it. A nation from the past. This terrorist stuff is too much for the average joe to digest and conventional war seems so easy (unless you fight in one). Also, the partisan politics are at play and the current adminstration is going to be blame for any and everything regardless. Just watch. Georgia isn't as innocent nor is Russia. The UN and the EU and the rest of Asia (since that's where those countries lie) can handle this problem.

Funny how France and America are leading the peace talks....

I was surprised myself with such a lot of questions about that. I haven't thought about it for about 20 years. And it was a fresh topic.

In Russia nobody thinks or speaks about any prospectives of the war. I don't mean journalists.  Oil price drop is more important.

Yeah, loo kin at bush ?   he so very hungry to joint in the war already ?   sick dude he is ?  would someone put him in the insane hospital ?     think he forgot about done spending huge amount of money for the last 8 years on war support ?   good reason why we all go broke paying high cost of living here ?

The civilians are scared.   It is up to us military types and retirees to reassure them that the USA and the USSR....I mean Russians are not going to war over Georgia.  

First,  Georgia is not worth it.   Just like Czechoslovakia when the Germans invaded it.   Secretary of State Rice is there right now trying to come back with "Peace in Our Time."

Second,  thanks to the Clinton cuts and Bush sending troops to Iraq and Afghanistan,  the USA just does not have much to go to war with.   It would be absolutely nuts to try to take on the USSR,  I mean Russians now.  

Third.  Russia has limited objectives and once they are met,  they will leave.   We just have to wait them out.  

Fourth,  if NATO and Europe are not worried,  we should not be.  They have a lot more to worry about than the USA does.
