Can We take packed food to Panama from USA?

We are moving to Panama for awhile next week. I was wanting to be a lot of things like granola bars, candy, beans, spices ect.. Will I have any problems doing this?

  1. Sealed or not you risk having the food taken away from your if you report it.  Just don't report it.  If you look like a hippie or a drug smuggler they will go through your bags at customs.  Most people sail right on through. Don't report the sealed food and you will have not problem.  You can get some of the stuff you mentioned here , but it is way more expensive here.


  2. As long as the food is in sealed packages it should be fine. You cant take in fresh fruit or vegetables. We bring food from other countries back all the time when we travel. Have a good trip!

  3. No, everything is permisible, as long as it is sealed in a comercial generated bag. Do remember that you can buy all those products here in Panama, same price as the States, and you would not need to carry all that on the plane.

    Make sure not to bring drugs. Illegal.
