Can Windows Vista Ultimate work fine with my old machine?

80 GB Non Sata HDD, Intel 1.8 ghz ,MB CHIPSET

1 GB SDRAM PC 133 FSB

New graphics card added 512 MB VRAM

  1. It'll probably run okay. You may need more RAM than 1 GB though. I'd recommend at least 2 gigs.

  4. Honest answer no. It does not even work well on new PCs. Vista needs at least 2 gig of ram just to function so so.  And at least a P4 or better processor. So it will not even load on your pc. I am sending this from a Vista pc that I just bought a few weeks ago and it is not the best. and not to mention all the c**p that comes with Vista.

    AMD Dual core 2.2 gig with 2gig ram 2000mhz system bus and I am not impressed.

    I am downgrading in the morning tou XP 64 bit
