Can Xanax interact with Bergamot in Earl grey tea?

I take Xanax and yesterday I had some Earl Grey tea at the same time. It felt like I had tripled my dosage. I decided to look up what exactly was in Earl Grey tea, and the main ingredient was Oil of Bergamot. After doing some research, Bergamot contains Bergamottin...also one of the main ingredients in grapefruit juice which is responsible for the potentiation of Xanax if taken at the same time. I assume this would apply to other drugs as well. Has anyone else looked into this?

  1. i I'm not sure about the tea

however you can not take it and grapefruit juice

so i would not take it with something that makes you feel like this

since teas and herbals are not tested

  2. I wouldnt take it again.

You cant have grapefruit juice w/xanax at all....

just dont drink that c**p again - or quit takin your pills .
