Can YOU shoot a basketball that has no grip?

In other words, a really smooth ball that you can barely grasp with your hands.

That is the beauty of the seams.  When possible, place your fingertips on a seam for extra grip and feel.

Yes. But for me, it's harder because the ball will sometimes slip off my hand due to there being no grip.

I can, but it wont be as accurate.  Ill be going for layups all day instead of jumpers.

as long as its round and bounces you can play ball. now will it be accurate and easy to handle... no but you play with what you can get

I personally can, because my shot has quite a bit of arch. The more arch you have on your shot, the less grip you'll need.

yea,, i play in our backyard and our basketball is prehistoric, all the dot things are gone but i've gotten used to it,, wat i cant stand are the basketballs which are very light,,
