Can Yaz birth control cause an abortion as a last resort?

My wife and I started using Yaz because we were told it won't cause an abortion as a last resort. Recently a friend told us otherwise. Can anybody confirm this one way or another?

The chances of it causing an abortion are slim; however, if you go the YAZ website, they list that YAZ causes the lining of the endometrium to thin, thereby not allowing an embryo to implant. So there is a chance, albeit low, that YAZ would not allow an embryo (which is an egg that has been fertilized by a sperm) to implant, thereby killing it. So in my opinion, yes, there is a chance that as a last resort, YAZ does not allow an embryo to survive and cause an abortion. Hope this helps.
