Ok Say I apply for 3 Jobs. One at McDonald's, The Second at Walmart and the 3rd one at Carl's Jr.

Now say the 2nd Day I get al call from Wal Mart and Carl's Jr. saying that they are willing to hire me.

What do I do?

I only need to work for one place. How do I let the other one down easliy by telling them That they also want to hire me somewere else?

Can I even Apply for more than 1 job? I'm just so confused. What do I do if 2 places liked me and want to hire me but I only want to work for one.....What do I tell the other that I rather work for some other?

  1. hahah YES your CAN apply for more than one job...i doubt that they'll ALL want to take you if it does happen pick the one you really want to work for and just tell the other job that someone else hired you first and yeah

  2. yes you can

  3. yeah

  4. You say "Thank you very much but I just accepted a job at x*x'".  Any employer would understand.  I've done it a few times myself and they will even say 'Well, good for you.  If you it doesn't work out come see us again.'

If you get two offers before you accept one, you pick the one you like best.  (Duh!)  Believe me, the others will understand.

  5. apply for as many jobs as you want to.

if you are offered more then one, take the one you want and just tell the other place, thank you, but i've got a job.

    good luck.

  6. Yes, you certainly can and certainly should apply at more than one place. And, don't worry about "letting anyone down" if you get offers from 2 or more places. That's the nature of the business and you are actually in a better position. You actually get to choose which job you want to take from the ones you're offered.

Besides, think of it this way: The company that you initially reject may end up making a better offer, if they know that you're good enough to get accepted at other places, too.

  7. First of all, yes you can apply more than one place, it's done all the time.  If you should get two offers, then you just be honest with the one you don't take.  You say that you had an interview with another company and have decided to take the other job.  Trust me, they've heard it before, you won't be "offending" them or any thing.  Also, if you do get two offers be sure that you compare the wages and any benefits you might receive before accepting one over the other.
