I'm not exactly sure if this is what your after but if it is so you can log on to msn without tons of people talking to you, try logging on with you status appear offline. you can still talk to anyone online but no-one can see your actually on until you talk to them. One of the disadvantages of this is that you anyone your talking to can't see if you've changed you display name.

if you do, you could download a script to block or unblock all of your contacts at once

open MSN

right click on the contact's name

'block'

if using PLUS

open MSN

contact manager

select the contacts you want to block

click on the 'block' button

fastest way to block everyone is to go to >tools >options >privacy then highlight each name and add to the block list. it's not all at once but it's pretty fast.
