Question:

Can You Check A Backpack On A Plane?

I'm flying on Southwest this august to see my relatives. And since school starts soon after I return, I have to do my clothes shopping out there, and I still need a backpack. I was wondering if maybe I got a new backpack while I'm there if I could put my new clothes in it and check it. I'm already going to have a carry-on, and I'm already checking a suitcase. But since I don't need extra storage for the things I don't have on the way, I can't take two suitcases. Will they let me check something like a backpack? Will it cost more to check a second bag? Do you think it would be worth it to just ship all of these things, even though they probably wouldn't get back home until after school starts? I have enough clothes to last me a couple weeks. What should I do?

  1. your allowed one personal item on a plane

  2. yeah, it's fine.

you are allowed one personal item and one carry on

so you can pack some of your clothes in a backpack.

I do it from time to time when I wont be in a place long enough to need enough clothes to fill up a suitcase.

    so yeah, it's fine.
