  1. yes in Australia you can, if you have a valid reason and you don't have much money in the bank ,usually you had to wait about 6 weeks before they pay you.If you get laid off there is a shorter waiting period before you get paid.

  2. Absolutely not!

Can you imagine how many people would abuse a system that would give you money for quitting a job?

Collecting unemployment comp is only for people who are laid-off or fired.  (If you are fired, sometimes you can collect if the company agrees to allow you to collect)  Don't get fired on purpose just to collect.  If you don't like that job, then get motivated and GET ANOTHER JOB FIRST.  Then quit that job.

  3. No.  If you leave voluntarily you can't. You also would not be able to collect unemployment if you got fired for certain reasons (stealing from your employer, not showing up for work, etc.)

  4. No, you have to be laid off

  5. no, you can only get unemployment if your fired or laid off.

  6. no and it doesnt apply if you get the sack either

  7. No, if you quit you do not get unemployment.

I believe it only applies if your force to leave against your will.
