Can You Rent A Car with a Temporary License?

Question

I just got my permit and am going to be taking my driving test within the next two months, i want to take a trip to the east coast and am wondering if i will have my new license immediately or can i rent a car with a temporary license?

are there any other requirements to rent a car?

You wont get your new license immediately, it will take a couple or a few weeks. Your temporary license should work fine though, but that being said...You cant usually rent a car unless your over 25. Some places rent to 21+, but charge a nice fee (i've seen a fee of about $60 per day on top of whatever the rate is!!!) If your under 21, your pretty much out of luck, and even if your under 25, it will be very expensive!
