Can You pick your candidate for upset of the year?

I know it is early but I have to say this early and can already pick my candidate already. Here is my pick this year in 2008.

Junior Witter vs Timothy Bradley Jr. - Witter has been calling out Hatton for years and even said that Hatton is scared to fight him. Well that changed when a fighter not even ranked in the top 10(THANK THE WBC FOR THE BOGUS ARRANGEMENT TO GRANT BRADLEY A TITLE SHOT!) upset him in England and came home 140lb champion. I bet Hatton is laughing at home! Any answers?

  1. calzaghe beating hopkins surprised  me because calzaghe is not i repeat not one of the best p4p in the world

  2. I think Cotto's win over Mosley was a bit of an upset, but Nate Campbell's win over the "Baby Bull" gets my vote, Daiz was undefeated when he lost to Nate.  Thumbs up to gonz.

  3. Andy Lee loss to Brian Vera that was a really big upset in my eyes

  4. Tyson vs Douglas??? That was 18 years ago, try one in thise decade...

Its way to early to be picking one as of right now, but yea campbell vs diaz, and last nights fight, so far at least

  5. Juan Diaz upset loss to Nate Campbell by far I think was the upset of the year. Juan had looked so dominant against excellent opposition. Plus he is so young and he was going in against a guy who once stuck his chin out on purpose to be Macho like Mayorga and got knocked the f out!

Plus Campbell is a guy on the downside of his career. But in Juan's defense campbell was fighting really dirty!! At on point he just put his head down and ran straight at Diaz head first without throwing any punches!!! and ended up cutting Diaz in the process. I think Diaz would destroy him in a rematch, but for now its still an upset loss.

Witter loosing surprised me too! But not as much as Diaz loosing.

  6. There have been a few pretty big upsets so far this year that I can think of:

    Timothy Bradley W12 Junior Witter

    Nate Campbell W12 Juan Diaz

    Carlos Quintana W12 Paul Williams

    Brian Vera TKO7 Andy Lee

    Reynaldo Lopez TKO3 Mike Oliver

  7. I feel your pain on the whole Witter/ Hatton situation but it's way too early for me to make that decision.  We still have some major fights coming up.

  8. Sorry guys but none of those upsets were even that big.  The biggest one I have seen so far this year is Buster Douglas stopping Mike Tyson in Tokyo.  That was amazing!!!!!
