  1. You need a long eye relief situation. Either a pistol scope, or one meant for a shotgun, or the mentioned red dot sight.

  2. hi there

yes you can. as long as the scope gives you a clear picture at 15 yards your good to go. now the other thing is if you set up your scope at 50 yards you will have to estimate on the vertical cross hair for any different yardage shots.good hunting shoot safe.

  3. i wouldnt reccomend the bolt drops a lot more than a bullet.  i have a red dot on mine

  4. I did it.

  5. I mounted a 4 power .22 scope on a old pool cue! does it work? No! give it a try and see what happens!!!

  6. sure you can! They even make one especially for the crossbow-it has dots in it that when zeroed in, are 20,30,40, and 50 yard aiming points- I shot one on an Excalibur crossbow last week that a friend had bought and purchased the scope to go on it- they work extremely well- I would highly recommend it for the crossbow.

  7. Mount an Adjustable Objective scope on the crossbow.

The focal range on a regular rifle scope is wrong. The crossbow sights are set parallax free from 50- 75 yards, like turkey and shotgun scopes. The rifle scope is set much further out beyond the crossbow range ( at least 100 yards).

We were playing with an EOTech 552 on a crossbow a few weeks ago and were exploring a rifle scope.

  8. the whole y/a thing is about someone Else's opinion.           butt head
