  1. give it to him and let him have lots of fun and make a mess and take lots of pictures

my boys love looking at those pioctures of themselves   have fun

if you are really worried call the dr and get their thought

  2. I've never heard of a 1 yr old not being able to have chocolate. Check with his pediatrician to be sure.

  3. Give him the chocolate cake.  They warn against giving chocolate because it might cause the runs (same as in adults) and for allergy reasons.  If he's had chocolate before it shouldn't be a problem.

  4. I wouldn't let your kids have to much sweets. They get to much energy.

  5. My son had a chocolate birthday cake at 1, and he's now a 4 year old beast.

  6. of course!

1 year olds shouldn't have a diet of cake either, but it's time to splurge!

  7. the only time my 20 month old son has had chocolate was on his first birthday.  You are not suppose to, but i figured a little wouldn't hurt him and it was a very very special occasion!!  Also the chocolate in cake is not as rich/strong as it would be giving him a chocolate candy bar.  So i think it is just fine.  It didn't hurt my baby.

  8. It's your choice if u wish 2 give u child a chocolate cake then do so, i like you have never heard that giving children chocolate in moderation would be harmful. My son was 1 on Monday and he has the occasional treat of chocolate. I hope he has a wonderful birthday x

  9. They just say that you have to be 1 before you give your baby chocolate. This is because some could be allergic. I say get the chocolate b-day cake! If I were you, I'd let the baby taste a little chocolate to make sure that he doesn't get sick. If a little is okay, then it's okay to give him a lot.

Chocolate b-day cakes for 1 year olds are common. I've seen them often.

  10. my son had chocolate cake for his first birthday.  every other one year old's birthday party i went to has served chocolate cake.

  11. My parents bought me a chocolate cake for my 1st birthday! Other than the fact that I love chocolate, it certainly didn't do anything bad. Get tons of pictures because he will probably play with it and mash it everywhere until he finally gets it in his mouth and realizes it tastes good lol.

That's what my parents did. They bought 2 cakes one for me and one for them and they stripped me down, cleared out the play pen and set the cake in with me lol..I had a blast playing with it and mashing it in my hair and all over the playpen...and then I got some in my mouth and realized it was delicious.

  12. let the babies taste the chocolate cake. Not every child is allergic to chocolate. chocolate is not harmful, it is medically proven.

So go ahead let the babies l**k chocolate from ur finger. I am sure they will love it.

  13. Well I'm sure you don't intend to give him the whole cake so a little will be fine...just pleeease remember to brush what teeth he has after. As my daughter has bad teeth (nearly two) I do regret not being more careful.

  14. Has he had chocolate before - are you sure he's not allergic?  If he's not, go for it...in moderation.  Too much of any kind of cake can make babies very ill.

  15. Yes of course they can have chocolate cake! The person that told u that is probably someone that believes children should eat healthily all the time.....one of these 'perfect' parents I suspect, they need to loosen up. If you can't have a bit of choccy cake at a birthday then when can u?! It's not like he's gonna eat the whole thing, enjoy!

  16. They can't have chocolate cake? I've never heard that before, and I normally am up on these sorts of things, having 2 young kids at home.

Both my kids had chocolate cake (with lots of icing!) for their first birthdays, and boy did they enjoy it!
