Can a 10 year old receive his First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church if he was not baptized in the Catholic Church?

  1. The simple answer is YES. If the person was baptized in a Christian church that uses the trinitarian formula: I baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Ghost). The child receives the Catechetical Instruction for the Eucharist. The parents are agreeable to the child receiving First Communion. And the parish priest is not pre-Vatican II in his theology.
