Can a 100 or so pound person sit on top of a piano without breaking or damaging it?

I know this sounds weird, but I've always wanted to take a picture sprawled out ON TOP of my 6 foot grand piano (with the lid closed, of course). However, I'm afraid that my piano can't take the extra weight, and I don't want to break it. Would it be able to hold me?

  1. Women a lot heavier than you have been posing

for 'pic's on pianos for years.

  2. It must be able to hold you.  Pianos are very heavy and built solidly.  I am sure there is a margin of error way beyond your weight.  I can't imagine a mere 100 extra pounds would do anything to such a solid structure.

  3. i'm sure it will hold you but if you have a very expensive piano it may not be a good idea.

  4. yes it will hold you.
