  1. Looks like that would power your X-Box ONLY (100W req.).  I have no idea what size TV you are talking so I can't figure the TV into the equation You will definitely need to get a larger inverter.  I would go about 300 or 400 to make sure you have plenty of surge power for startup.

Also, make sure your battery and altenator can keep up with the inverter.  You may need to upgrade those items as well.

    Good luck

  2. no, it is a different type of power source.

you will need an ac converter. There are actually surge protectors that store power, too!

  3. This may help you with the calculations after you get the amperage and voltage off the equipment.

And leave a bit of "space" - if your calculations came out at 95 watts for instance, that might be a bit too close. (I suspect it won't be heavy duty enough).

I don't know what kind of power supply filtering the XBox has but I'd still be a bit leery of running what is basically a computer from the relatively "noisy" pseudo AC you will likely get from an inverter.

Please tell me you aren't going camping with an XBox and TV, 'cause if you are in the tent next to me, your XBox will soon be an EX-XBox,lol!

  4. The best thing that you can do is to look on the power box for your tv and xbox and look for the "Data Plate" it should tell you the input and output wattage and voltage. Add up the TV wattage and the Xbox wattage and make sure that the wattage input does not exceed the 100 watt power inverter. ALSO!!! You need to check Ampage. Make sure that you do not draw too many amps through the car power inverter. You may need to go to a car store like pep boys or auto zone and they can give you free advice. You may have to buy an amp for your car if you want to do stuff like that in it.

  5. You need to check the VA (volt-ampheres) or watts on both devices.  Your inverter needs to have a rating higher than the sum of the loads you will be connecting at the same time.

Pay attention to the supply side as well, and make sure you size your wire correctly.

  6. 100 watts would give you .83 amps (830 mA).  check the back of each device and see how many amps it uses.  if you add the amps up and you get a bigger number than 830 mA (.83 Amps) it won't work.

  7. Not both at the same time.  Maybe a 175 watt inverter but it only has 1 plug for either tv or xbox.  You can use the auxillary power for the tv and the inverter for the xbox.
