  1. It would'nt be worth your time, energy

or cash to do such a dumb thing.

If you want a 125 GET ONE !!!

  2. Hot ef is correct!

However so are many of the other respondents (power/weight ratio etc!)

Check this site for full details.

I would not advise restricting a 1000cc bike.

Just pass your test.  My neighbour passed his on a 125  - he now has an SV650 (restricted) that he will ride for 2 years and then whatever he wants!

  3. Errr......NO WAY!!!

    Totally impossible!!!!!!!!

  4. technically yes,it can...but the criteria for a learner bike is 12hp and 125cc's....so it could be restricted but not riden legally..after your test has been passed and if your stuck to 33bhp then an R1 could be restricted down to 33 bhp and riden legally...

there is only one way to legally ride an 1000cc R1 on a learner licence and that is to fit a sidewinder, its a leanable 3rd wheel.[it changes the bike from a bike to a trike-technically anyway]....they were made in the early 90's but never cought on..link below, click on it and scrool half way down

  5. If you mean can the power be restricted to that of an 125, yes it can. I assume you are from the UK? Here in australia we aren't allowed to do that but i know in the UK you can. Just be mindful that a 1000cc bike is going to weigh a lot, over 200kg. The power to weight ratio will be horrible. It is not best for learning on. You need a bike that is light and nimble. When you are no longer on provisional then move up to the 1000.

It would seem that every one above are the idiots!!!

  6. heh. That would be nice :)

  7. lol. the CC is your cylinder capacity which means no it cant be downgraded so to speak. You could change the engine but if it's a 1L engine it's probably a superbike and a 125 wont do it!

  8. not unless you are going to completely replace the engine :)

  9. no chance,!!

  10. are you brain dead.

  11. No  it has to be a 125 to start off with

  12. you are a real dumbass!!!

what the h**l do you fink??? and restricted in what way??
