Can a 12 year old be on the rescue squad?

cuz i wanna know whats the youngest age 4 rescue squad requirement

You can join Civil Air Patrol at age 12 or during 6th grade, and if you work hard and take all the training you can get then you can probably make the rescue squad by 14 or more likely 15. I did in NM back in the late 1960's I achieved the Mitchell award and made Cadet 1st LT. As a cadet I qualified for the rescue squad, SAR communications officer, and Cadet Commander for the Civil Defense Decontamination Unit for all of NM. Other organizations will have other age requirements but CAP tries to let the cadets do as much as they can depending on maturity and safety.

If you're talking about a volunteer rescue squad the age would probably be 14 in most states.  You would be a junior member if they have a jr. dept.
