  1. no.

    thank goodness.

  2. You have to be at least 18 but they do have some credit cards for kids with a limit

  3. No, you have to be 18.

However you can get a "prepaid" Visa for a child... I've seen them advertised before.  So they can sort of get the feel of it before the real thing.

  4. Yes if there parents cosign and have their names on it too. But who would want to give a 12 year old a credit card. That just makes the child spoilde and probly the parent broke.

  5. Most credit cards you have to be at least 18. However, there could be a credit card company out there that is willing to give a credit card to minors. However, I have heard of responsible teenagers having credit cards in their name under their parents account.

    Hope this helps.

  6. You cannot own one by yourself. But you can have one if your parents are on the card too.

You see when you are under 18 you are considered a minor and not able to handle responsibilities. So the law says that if you enter into a contract, like a credit card, then you are not liable to uphold your end. So they wont give you one just by yourself, cause if you don't pay they need to be able to get the money from somebody, and you can't sue a minor for breach of contract.

  7. actually they can if the parent lists them as an authorized user. Of course they would not be liable but their parents may be wealthy and have a card for them to make purchases by themselves. Look at the people on sweet 16.
