  1. If you want your hair to grow faster try taking folic acid (B9) and biotin. However a daily vitamin can be beneficial. I feel that really the only difference between women's one-a-day and other vitamins is that it may contain more calcium and vitamin D as women are more prone to osteoporosis. Calcium can't hurt at the age of 13, as some young women can have a lower bone mass. The only problem I would be concerned with is that some of the vitamins are fat soluble that are 100% in the formulation that you have in the link. These can accumilate in your body. (Particularly vitamin E) If while you are taking this your lips get severely chapped, stop taking it as this is the main sign of vitamin E overdose.

  2. You are quite young to be be taking any such Vitamin. Talk to your doctor for age appropriate Vitamins. Natural health products might be more helpful.

Vitamin A is one of the few substances with a small enough molecular structure to penetrate the outer layers of the skin and work to repair the lower layers of the skin where collagen and elastin reside. This allows it to repair and stimulate collagen and elastin, creating firmer, smoother skin. This is a good alternative for those with sensitive skin who cannot tolerate tretinoin. Retinol, work to increase cell turnover and exfoliation by stimulating cell production underneath the skin.

Nettles- Does more than just reduce DHT.  It is rich in vitamins A and C, and a wide range of minerals including Iodine, Silicon, and Sulfur, all especially good for the hair.  It is a profound source for mucilage and amino acids that the hair follicle requires for proper growth.  It's stimulating qualities also help increase the circulation to the scalp.  Dr. A Vogel, a Swiss herbalist know throughout the world, advocates Nettle for stimulating hair growth.

Ivy, Hops and Capsicum- Herbal Extracts penetrate deep into the scalp next to the roots, speeding up the circulation and the nutrition of the affected tissues, recovering the weakened hair strands. This formula promotes better circulation to the scalp, addresses damaging free radicals with potent antioxidants, helps to block DHT and fights harmful bacteria

Saw Palmetto-Studies have shown that saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in a similar way that Propecia does. Firstly it lowers levels of DHT in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto block receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb DHT.It is said to prevent the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase from turning testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is the hormone that causes male pattern baldness in men and to a lesser extent in women.

Folic acid, biotin, vitamin B5, para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), and silica are supplements that may help maintain the color and thickness of hair.

Grapeseed Oil- contains flavonoids OPCs, which offer powerful antioxidant protection.  The flavonoids in Grape Seed Extract quench free radicals and potentate other antioxidants like Vitamin E and Vitamin C. One in vitro study showed that the flavonoids in Grape Seed Extract prolonged the lifespan of Vitamin C by 400 percent. Another in vitro study showed that exposing blood vessel linings to pine bark OPCs (similar to Grape Seed Extracts) boosted their vitamin E content by 15 percent. Grape seed has also shown recycling and potentiating effects. Green Tea helps influence serum concentrations of hormones. It has been associated with higher levels of s*x hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which binds with high affinity to testosterone. When testosterone binds to SHBG, it is made inactive and cannot bind to androgen receptors or be converted into DHT. Again, DHT is one of the major causes of a very common type of hair loss (alopecia)

in 1970, a biochemist in France isolated from grape seed a material that improves blood circulation—oligomeric proanthocyandin (OPC). It also reduces swelling

Procyanidin Oligomers selectively and intensively promote proliferation of mouse hair epithelial cells in vitro and activate hair follicle growth in vivo.

  3. it would be fine.  As long as you take it as directed and dont think taking more will help more.

  4. i think it would be perfectly fine... if you want to be safe you might want to check the label before buying it, it would prolly say who shouldnt take it. if you havent gotten your period it MIGHT say you shouldnt b.c it would maybe effect your hormones? but if you read the label itll give you the best answer. but most likely its okay

  5. The only thing it would do for your health is to make it....well, healthier. It will not harm you (unles you overdose the whole bottle in like 300 seconds) but if you would like to have your hair grow out, I would suggest getting some witamin E pills (that the vitamin that makes your hair and nails grow) =) hope this helps!
