Can a 13 year old traveling alone on northwest airlines take a carry on pet with them?

im 13 and i will be going from michigan to texas so its about a 2 and a half hour flight. I was wondering if i could take a carry on pet with me. On the way to texas my aunt will be with me so she could carry the dog, but on the way home i will be alone. will i be able to take the dog with me????Also how old does the dog have to be to take it on the carry on

How big is the dog? Northwest Airlines allows for small dogs to be transported as carryon luggage for $80 one-way. You'd end up spending $160 to transport the dog round-trip. It needs to be in its own cage, not an actual carryon bag (I'm not sure if you were actually thinking that you were going to put it in a carryon bag, but I'm just checking). You may carry the dog on your way home, but again, you will need to pay $80.
