We just boat a 130hp(3.0L) boat and before we bought a 2 person tube we were wondering if it would be able to tow 2 people on a tube. It is a 1989 Startcraft 1701 Medalist. Please and Thank you!

  1. I've pulled a tube with two people around behind a 26 foot pontoon with a 90 HP motor.

Not a huge thrill, but it works.

  2. Tube no problem, even waterskier if you use

    A 15 or 17 pitch prop.

    I had a 19 pitch on a 120hp forget about it.

  3. Yes, it should easily be able to pull 2 people on a tube.  I used to have a jet-boat with a 90hp 3 cylinder that could pull 2 people on a tube all day.

It's not like you need to go 35-40mph to pull people on a tube anyway (unless you're really mean and like watching people bounce across the water anyhow....).
