Can a 14 year old boy have a 40 inch vertical jump?

i have a 19-22 vertical just standing it used to be higher when i'm running i have around a 28. When i'm playing baskeball i feel l get even higher. but i'm doin this vertical program air alert i want a 40 inch vertical is it possible cause i haven't ever seen a person my age get higher than 30.

  1. It's possible for a 14 year old to get a 40 inch vertical, but not likely because it requires quite a bit of strength training and kids shouldn't even start weightlifting until they're at least 12.

    I think you could definitely get a 40 inch vertical, but not while you're still 14. 28 is very good for your age. Unfortunately, I really doubt air alert is the best program for you. I'd advise building strength before getting into plyometrics. Read this http://jumphighest.blogspot.com


  2. Well, I'm only 5foot 6 or 5foot7 and 14 year old and i can reach up to the basketball net, but about 2 inches away from the hoop (jumping from one spot).

    I also do high jump for my school.

    But I don't know if i got a 40 inch vertical jump, if I have, then yeah, a 14 year old boy can have a 40inch vertical jump
