I can't really get a job at 14, and I don't really wanna do a paperound.

So would I be able to like, buy sweets and stuff in bulk and sell them seperatley to earn abit more money?

Also what kinda things should I buy? I'd be selling them to people at school, so I dunno, I was thinking probley chewing gum?

  1. Its a start, you need to do a feasibility study to find out what sells. When you get going you could employ others who knows where it might lead?

  2. We did at my school but it was illegal not really illegal but against school policy , you have to be sneaky about it, you feel like a drug dealer after awhile

  3. My bro is 13 and he's done this... he's a lil entrepreneur and makes good $$$

hmmmm, I didnt know it was illegal :/

  4. I used to do it all the time! LOL! It's illegal, but the chances of getting caught are slim to nil.

  5. I think that's written in the Things You Probably Shouldn't Do book of morals.

  6. You can buy at Costco or Sam's club and also you could  ask your parents for some tips. What is with your user name? Scary! Send me an email. I hope that your business does good!

  7. Well I did 4 awhile. It was gum and candy. I wouldn't they r tracking ppl down 4 that. I'm no going to stop u but if it is bigger than a CD or that  u could get in trouble with the law

I;m in the same boat. no job. I have a job 4 u. wabt to talk im board on IM

  8. when i was your age i used to go to a wholesale club with my parents and buy a huge bag that had packs of gum. then sell it the same way u want to and i made a few bucks, it might not be allowed in your school but who cares do it anyways till somebody says something

  9. Sorry kid. I wouldn't buy gum from you at a higher price when I can buy it cheaper. If I was in dire need of gum, I first have to see your vendor's license and your health permit. You won't make money selling it at the same price as the store anyway. Try babysitting.

  10. You would be amazed at how much pocket change you can make.  Definitely go for it. Shop around to local grocery stores & cheap stores to get the best pricing...then take the stuff around with you to school & any place you go...there you go.

Just remember they're paying for convenience if they complain.  Remember that if they can get it cheaper at the vending machine they probably will.  So gum, candy bars...I would stay away from chips.

  11. Usually that is illegal, at least in the US. Most packages say "Not for individual sale" on them. In that case then it is illegal

  12. id suppose u could do it if u bought them in cash or had ur parents pay for em, then u repay them back when u break even. as for what to sell, i like gummy bears personally.

  13. If you do this, legally you need a business licence. Also if you sell at school you need their permission to do business on school property.

As for inventory, you need to look at who you are going to be selling to and see what their likes and dislikes are... and stock accordingly. But do it legally. Paper routes and babysitting aren't that bad.

  14. no...it's illegal

  15. yeah, and give them the first ones for free; so you get them hooked. It seems to work in the after school specials.

  16. that is a good idea

but this is like setting up ur own business

you need to consider customors, suppliers, cost of supplies, and money coming in (profit)

so yes this is a good idea but you must set up a cashflow forcast form so you know exactly how much profit you will be getting and if anyone will buy from you

but if they say not for individual sale it is ileagle so i advise u not to sell if so

    hope iv helped

  17. It is alright as long as you don't advertise.  However, here is a trick that made me good money when I was10-12 yrs old.  Valentines day is coming up.  Go to dollar general or some other cheap place and get like 500 cards for 5 bucks or so.  Then go around and sell the cards door to door for 2 for a dollar.  This trick works better around christmas though because people get cards for everyone.  But if you hit enough houses you should make $250 relatively quickly.  Good luck!

  18. My kids to this every year.  last year we bought candy canes the day after Christmas for 10 cents per box.  My son took them to school for several weeks after that, and kids bought them for 50 cents each.  Making it a very nice profit for him.  My daughter bought a cotton candy machine, just a little one from wal-mart, and sold it at the park.  My other daughter buys Mexican candy, like lucas for 25 cents each, and sells them for 1 dollar at school.  Kids are crazy, if you have the supply, they will demand it!  Good luck in your venture you future economist!  Good Job.

  19. are you crazy!!! are you trying to get arrested? i mean..c'mon selling candy?! might as well be sellin' rocks!

  20. My suggestion to you is to go about earning money the real way. Doing this is illegal and could get you in trouble at school. This could also make you very unpopular. Hassling people trying to sale them candy and sweets they could buy elsewhere for cheaper might not go over so well.

My suggestion is offer to do chores for your parents for extra money, see if the neighbors need help with anything, or see if you can sign up for a tutoring assistant program. If you are good in certain subjects, you might be able to make some extra cash by tutoring your fellow students. Some tutoring assistant programs pay, and pay fairly well!

    Good luck!

  21. chewing gum is a given. try selling sour gummy sweets. those are popular.
