  1. You can get a credit card by being added as an authorized user on your parents account, with your name on it.

  2. You can link a credit card to one of your parents accounts.

  3. Of course! I mean i'm 13 year old and I already have a credit card, but it has my parents name is on it, so that means that i'm using their account.  So what ur saying is right, it's their account not yours.

  4. A 14 year old can get a credit card easily, doesn't mean that it's theirs though... If you want your own card though you'll have to wait till the age of majority in your region.

  5. Thats taco!!!!!!

  6. visa has jr cards

  7. I do not think a 14 yr old can get a credit card.  Your parents can get a credit card and put your name on it as a spender on the account- but you do not have any finacial backing to legitimately get a credit card.  And trust me- they are bad news.  I have been in credit card debt for years and it is not something you want to get involved in.  Pay cash for it or don't buy it.

  8. ok yes you can, i got 2 credit cards when i was 16, so all you have to do is when your mom or dad gets a new credit car application they have to say "yes" to have the company give you an additional card and also make sure you write your name on there. or if you mom and dad already have a credit card and you want to use that specific one just have one of your parents call and tell them that they want to give an additional card to _____________(your name) and thats basically what we did. hope that helps

  9. Yes, I in fact have a credit card myself but i'm too young to originally have it fully under my name. I had my first credit card when I was fifteen, now I'm seventeen and I have a second credit card.

Also, another great side to this is credit cards obviously have expiration dates, so you know there is a limited time of use to it.

Most places these days don't check for I.D's, but if in fact they do, realize that the spender should be ready with and I.D. handy.

For me, I use my driver's license.

  10. I think you might be better off with a bank card.

I have one, and I got it when I was 12.

That's cause my mom doesn't trust me with paper money. Hah. : ]

A bank card is pretty much the same, except you have to put money in there, then you can spend it. You get a PIN code, and you can choose how much you can spend. Like, my limit is $1000 a day, and $500 at one store. It's not like I save enough to reach my limit, but it's good. : ] You and your parents can go in and change this anytime you want, and if you lose it, you don't have to worry, because the theif will have to know your PIN. You can just go to the bank and get a new card, also.

I don't really think teenagers should have credit cards, because they're kinda dangerous. Like, if you accidently lose it, the theif can just use it and it'll charge to your parents account.

  11. i dont know if u can get a credit card at that age, but instead what i would do is go to ur bank and check out the teen checking options. u should at least be able to get a debit card, adn then maybe just have ur parents put money in ur account instead of using a credit card.

  12. Your parents may be able to get another credit card (so you can use it) and they can tell you the PIN number...

You can also get prepaid credit cards or get your own ATM card.

    Good luck...

  13. You could probably get those prepaid gift credit cards. so your parents can put a limit on how much you spend and there will be no problems. Works like a regular credit card.

  14. You're 14- You dont need a f'n credit card.

  15. Yes, it would be their card with you as an authorized user.  As long as they agree to it and sign on the dotted line, you will have it but if they do they are nuts.

  16. yeah but it would be the parents name on the card.
