  1. 'aTivan', and no, dosing for ativan in pediatrics is weight based and dangerous if not measured and dosed properly.

  2. No, don't take them.  Talk to your doctor before taking this medication.  This is serious medication for calming nerves and needs to be watched by a doctor.

This is from Drugs.com website about Ativan (there is no d in the name).

"Ativan should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. ...

Do not give this medication to a child younger than 12 years old."

    And by RXvaluePharm.com:

"Ativan (LORAZEPAM) is a benzodiazepine used to relieve anxiety and cause drowsiness before certain medical procedures. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. "

NOTE: Determined by your doctor.  Important I think.

Fillings are annoying but necessary.  I have quite a few myself.  Good oral health ensures good over all health when you are a senior.  Talk to your doctor before taking someone else's prescription.

  3. Yes Adivan is safe but she needs to know the right strength to get giving you.  Also, any Doctor would tell you that you should not be taking medicine unless it has been prescribed to you.  If you haven't taken Adivan before then you don't know what kind of reaction you will have.  If it knocks you out then the Dentist won't be able to fill your cavities.  If you are that worried then ask the Dentist for nitrous oxide.  Believe me, you won't care what the heck is going on.  You will feel great.  In my opinion, I wouldn't take the Adivan.
