Question:

Can a 15 year old get credit?

I'm not entirely sure of this, but I've heard recently that a 15 year old CAN get credit in the state of Kansas with a co-signer...

Is this true?

Would it be possible for me (15 years old, soon to be 16) to get a 2000 dollar loan?

Any relevant information would also be greatly appreciated.

  1. No.

Because you cannot sign a legal contract for them to be able to sue you if you don't pay.

    It's that simple.

  2. I doubt it.  You have to be 18 to enter into a contract.

If it is only $2,000 don't waste your money paying interest.  Just save up for whatever it is.

  3. I don't think you can because by law you can't make a binding contract at that age.

  4. You must be 18 to legally sign contracts.  The loan would have to be in your parent's name.  You can't even co-sign.

If you have had a job for some time, you certainly have some money saved up.  Wait and save some more and save yourself all that interest.

  5. No. Final answer.

  6. Why the heck at 15 do u need a loan or even a credit card?!

Save up (get a job) and pay cash!!

  7. if you have an adult co signer any minor can get credit.
