Can a 15 year old use maximuscle?

i'm 15, and i play rugby. I want to bulk up a bit but my parents say it's not for kids. there is nothing on the websites saying it's just for adults. Anyone know if its OK for me?

  1. why stuff all the garbage into your body ....all it does is wate your money, over load your digestive system and doesn't even work.... the only thing it does is earns money off stupid people that take it.... eat a balanced meal.........

    if all the fake powders worked, don't you think we would find a way to have powdered meals to eat all day long.....instead of cooking and doing dishes


  2. dude dont it work out at the gym do it the natural way youll get more out of it and im 16 and i play rugby too if you use that **** theres a high chance it will just turn into fat if you dont work out constantly so dont

  4. well it doesnt really stunt your growth it just idealy you shuould wait until your body is fully developed u shouldnt use it but if u use it only work all the muscles in your body because then your arms will be way bigger than you legs! or whatever muscle you work more!

  5. Hi. Yes you can use some Maximuscle products, but I advise you to carefully plan your use of the supplements to make sure they work for you (and do not use those that you don't need at your age/level of development). See my detailed answer below to help you out:

    1. Firstly, the quote about Arnnie from a fellow poster......It is 100% not useful to give him as an example of using sports nutrition (in terms of long-term health or expected results) because the guy was a professional bodybuilder (anyone who does a little research will know what these guys use to get massive - and if you use that you will get banned from playing rugby)! Maximuscle only sell food supplements/herbal preparations so the two should not be confused.

    2. You need to determine your level of physical maturity (doctor could may be able to help you here). Assuming you have the hormonal development to build muscle mass - you can benefit from products that will aid muscle/strength development. The reason I note this is because 'kids' can't build much muscle mass due to their hormone levels......but at 15 you're probably already turning into a man? If you've done some weight training and have gained some muscle, the answer is probably yes.

    3. Before you think about using maximuscle supplements to gain muscle mass....make sure your diet and training is suitable (this is very important). Essentially, the word 'supplement' is the giveaway here - they do work really well....but only when your diet and training is right. So, you want to bulk up - therefore you need to eat a large number of healthy calories (the maximuscle site has a good calculator for this purpose), 6 regular meals per day, 2g protein/kg, lots of vegetables. You then need to train heavy 2-3 times per week (more is not better) and focus on squats, deadlifts and other compound exercises.....always looking to progress.

    4. Ok - now onto the maximuscle supplements. I would suggest that once your diet is good, add in maximuscle supplements around you peri-workout period (i.e before, during and after training). I would suggest either consuming Cyclone or Progain (both contain highest quality whey protein and carbs and an array of other nutrients (such as creatine in Cyclone)). The anabolic effects of consuming the right nutrients around your training is awesome........there's just been a report at the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) conference that taking whey, creatine and dextrose pre and post training ("Effects of protein and carbohydrate on anabolic responses to resistance training”) and it's confirmed these effects. It's like a sponge soaking up water....only straight to your muscles......

    Before training - 1/2 - 1 scoop in 750ml Liter Water

    During training - 1/2 scoop in 1 Liter Water

    Immediately post-training - 1 scoop in 500ml Water

    The other supplement you may want to consider is promax (pure whey protein if you're not eating enough protein) and Maxi-EFA (fish oils are very under rated for health/performance).

    As you become more experienced and obviously older, you can then think about using more maximuscle supplements (for example, you don't need testosterone boosters at you age!). A good friend of mine (he's 22) plays division 1 rugby and often uses the following maxi supps (not necessarily all at once):

    Cyclone, Progain, Promax, ZMA, Maxipower, Viper, Thermobol (fat burner but also used for energy), glutamine, Maxi-EFA.

    * Some poster have also questioned the health effects of sports supplements. The truth is that substances such as whey protein, glutamine and creatine actually have loads of research linking them to actually being pro-health. Just google this if you want to persuade your parents. Incidentally - musclebulletin is probably the best place in the UK to get decent independent info for sports performance/nutrition.

  7. This is an enormous area of debate. I side on the opinion of don't mess around with body-building substances. There are healthier ways to bulk up through diet and exercise.

    But look at someone like the Governor of California - The Arnold Terminator Guy - he was looking like a freak of nature when he was using substances (steroids) and he is still alive .... for now.

  8. if ur 15 then maximuscle shuld be fine i think.  it also depends on whether or not youh have completed puberty yet.

  9. cobra is right, don't waste your money, eat healthy, enjoy life and enjoy rugby season.

    You're obviously not finished growing yet so work out hard and save your money for other hobbies\sports or if you're really smart, save for the future.
