Can a 16 year old homeschooled kid get a full time job during school hours... (more in details)?

... If they can prove they are homeschooled? What if they also have parental consent?

If this varies from state to state, I live in Tennessee.

Pretty much what I mean is, can I work when the other kids are in school?

  1. You could check your states website to see if there is a law against it. But you should be able to get one AS LONG AS you get all of the school work you are supposed to done by the due dates.


  2. Yes you can.  

  3. It depends on the labor laws of each State.  Here in Michigan, I believe the hours spent on school and the hours spent at work cannot be above a certain limit per week.  They also cannot work after a certain evening hour.  I believe you could find this information on your State's website.

  4. Would seem to be alright, unless there is some old law to stop it
