Can a 16-year-old quit school in South Carolina?

i was just wondering if a 16 year old can legally quit school in SC? with or without parental consent..

No. Stay in school, no high school diploma = minimum wage for life.  University/College fixes that.

im not sure bout SC but i live in perh and i left school at age 15 i am now a dental assistant just one think you should know if you are going to leave school have a job lined up dont leave and not work worst thing to do ay having a job when you live will get your perent respected and just show them that you have made the right choice for you life xoxo

i believe you need parental consent, don' do it! i did and it messed up my life for a while.you can even work at McDonald's with out a hs diploma. you will be on the bottom rung of life.

A 16-YEAR OLD NEVER QUITS SCHOOL AT ALL, No matter where she / he lives in the world.  Especially with or without parental consent, SHE CANNOT quit school.  What would the future hold for her?

Only if they are a brain dead, minimum wage welfare mom for life loser. If you want any possible chance for any kind of a future at all, stay the h**l in school and get that diploma. It's so friggin easy, all you have to do is make it to class, stay awake, turn in something for each assignment, and you'll do well enough to C or D your way through. Put in a little extra effort, and you're in A or B range.
