most resturants that serve liquor you have to be 18, but as long as you dont serve alcohol you should be able to.

males and females can work at age 16 but there are certain restrictions esp when it comes to alcohol ... they are unable to serve it until they are of legal age in the state they live in.  most restuarants would hire 16 year olds for dishwashing, table bussing, prep cooks etc.

You have to be 18 to work as a waitress at any restaurant that serves alcohol, unless customers can only get alcohol at the bar. However, some restaurants will hire 16 and 17 year olds to work as hostesses or busboys/girls. You just have to call and ask, or look at their website if they have one.

Maybe as a busboy or a dishwasher, You wouldn't be allowed to sale or serve acohol.
