Can a 17 year old go to Canada ?

I am 18 my ex is 17 and I want to take her to Canada just the two of us, what would be required to take her a long with me? I already know that I need my birth certificate and my I.D. what would be required of her?

  1. Probably a signed and preferably notarized letter from her parents allowing her to go.

    They may or may not check at the border.

She will need her birth certificate (original copy not a photocopy) you will also need a letter from her parents stating that she has their permission to go to Canada with you, and that they are aware you will be staying where ever you are planning on staying and you will be staying in Canada for this period of time, the letter has to have all their contact info so that they can be contacted just in case the customs official wants to talk to them. It is always better to get it notarized so that there is no question to the legality of it.
