Can a 17 yr old ttc take things to make her fertile?

dont go crazy im asking this for sum1 i know, shes 17 years old has a bf for 3yrs and wants to know if she can take any medications to help her get preg, she has been ttc for 1 yr and a month or two and both are healthy , and still no baby. if she can take anything, any ideas?

It's doubtful any doctor would prescribe medication for a 17 year old to try and have a baby.  She'll have to wait until she is 18 years old to discuss with her doctor what is wrong.  He/she might even require her to try for more time after that before giving her medication.

The only thing I suggest she takes.....is the rest of her high school education. There is no reason to have a child when she is still a child herself. And yeah, shes probably "not like other 17 year olds" or "way more mature" but really, 17 is 17. Maybe suggest to her to lay off the TTC thing and go be a young woman...finish school, travel the world, do silly things with her girlfriends, random road trips to random places...she's got many years of child bearing left in front of her...but shes only young once, and once these years are gone, they are gone forever, so enjoy them!!

being with a guy for 3 years is not a reason to have a baby with him...when I was that age I was commpletely in love with my bf of three years as well and yes I made love to him...I was VERY VERY MATURE and responsible and actually had a lot of experience with babies, but having a baby of my own was not an option

I am not with him anymore because we both grew up and went our seperate ways...He broke my heart because he wanted to be with other girls and live his life...odds are the same will happen to her.

Nobody is going to encourage a 17 year old to get pregnant when many of us here are adults and remember what it was like to be 17

If she keeps trying eventually she will get pregnant, she should make an appt. with her gyno (if she has one) and he can give her medication.

She should go 2 dr. && I believe she's a bit 2 young...she needs 2 go 2 dr. && determine the problem or whatnot && prepare her body for a baby. Instead of just taking random medications... it could harm her. Trust me.. But prenatal vitamins should be taken before pregnancy along with Folic acid...its very critical 4 baby's health...prevents birth affects. Good luck with her. =)

17 year olds should never have kids ,you have your whole life in front of you,wait till you are dry behind the ears. finish school go to college. your obviously not the brightest crayon in the box(grow up) you are not using your brain, 10 years from now remember some a-hole on answers tryed to tell your *** and you didnt listen. i got married young, divorced the women and ended up raising three girls by myself. its no picnic

Its funny this should come up as a topic. This man the other day posted on the pregnancy board. And stated his 17 year old girlfriend was trying to have a baby. And he said at first he said yes. And then after thinking about it. He decided he wanted to go to collage first. And then maybe later have children. But he didnt know how to break it to his GF>

Well my advise. And not being rude. Please finish school.. Get your own home. And have a good job. There are to many children on the system because of small minded people that think its okay just to have a baby whenever they want. Don't you want to be able to give your child the world. And know that you worked hard to provide for you child...

I am sorry this is just a sore subject for me. I got pregnate very early. And it was because I thought it would be a great ideal. And now after years of trying to get by. I am now 27 and just going to school, and working full time.

Tell her not to do like those idiot girls on the news and get pregnant before she gets to live life. Be a friend and tell her she'll regret it when he dumps her.
