Can a 20 year old enter a casino and not gamble, or do you have to be 21 to enter?

I'm turning 21 but my boyfriend will still be 20, I want him to come with me even if he can't gamble. We'll be going to Atlantic City nj.

I have no idea but I thought you had to be 18 to gamble so I think so.

If you're under 21, they won't let you stay in the gaming areas for any period of time, even to watch someone else gamble.

anyone over 18 can go into the casino (they are not minors) but they must be 21 or over the gamble

in Atlantic City there arent really many/any people checking.

I was there last year, around this time.  Granted I am of age, but I look on the younger side.

You are allowed to enter the premises, just not allowed to play at any tables.

Here where I live, you can not even enter the premises as they check ID if they think you're too young.  You can only go to food areas, mall-type places, and arcades that are in the casino.

PS -- go to the borgata, its a little seperated from all the other casinos, but 2 blocks away.  they have the best food and nicest atmosphere!

If the casino has restaurants or anything that anyone can go to, an underage person can walk through the gaming area of a casino to get there. An underage person cannot hang around and watch you play though. Sorry, but if your boyfriend is carded, he will be ordered to leave.

You have to be 21 to enter a casino because they serve alcohol. It's like entering a club. You may just want to go to dance, but you have to be 21 to enter.
