We have a new smart station in town and the E85 is only $2.77 per gallon...can we use that in our car? We have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid...if not, is there any converters that would make it accessible?

  1. No you cant.  Putting E85 in a non flex fuel car will destroy your fuel system since its corrosive to rubber and some metals.

E85 is cheaper because its government funded.  Your mileage will drop by about 1/3 using it too which means you are not saving any money.

  2. no you probably cant on that one unless it says so in the owners manual on it and some of those was also marked on the gas cap what fuel they would use,if its not meant to have it you will do damage to the injectors on it,it usually says this in the owners manual so check in their before you use it,i don't think many vehicles in that year was meant to burn e-85,so be careful ,good luck.
