Can a 2005 50hp. mercury be converted to a 70 or 90 hp.?

Can a 2005 50hp. mercury be converted to a 70 or 90 hp.?

To my knowledge, conversions like this can be done but it is expensive.  It would require purchasing the new carburetors or injectors and electronics and stuff.   I checked into upgrading a simple 2-stroke yammy 75 into a 90 and it ended up to be cheaper just to sell the 75 and buy a 90, plus no warranty issues or things like that.
