Can a 32 bit windows vista be change into a 64 bit?

my operation disk is 32 bit windows vista, could it be changed to a 64 bit?

  1. You would have to install 64 bit vista,  meaning you would have to start over,  you would have to have the 64 bit version of Vista.

    you can't just flip a switch.  


  2. No it can't unless you reformat it & install 64 bit vista on it. If I were you I'd be care full to see if your cpu is 64 bit compatible

  3. like the others have  said you will need to reformat your hard drive and buy the 64-edition of windows vista. In  all actuallity there is almost no point to switching to 64-bit and your computer probaly can't handle it.

  4. If you obtained a 64 bit DVD of vista you could install it using the CD-Key on the label of the computer even though it was for the 32 bit version
