Can a 6'4" short surfboard thats 2 1/2 inch wide at the sides carry me a 130lb guy?

If you are learning go and buy the $99 softtop board from costco to learn on. But you can learn to surf on that it will just take longer. If you now the basics that is a board that would work fine.

Yes. It's long and thick enough to float your weight. If you're just starting out, it'll be a challenge to learn on, but once you've mastered it, you can go even shorter and thinner. You need thickness and length while learning for stability. Yes, it'll float you.
