  1. Only if all the other occupants of the car (apart from the driver) are younger. It is not recommended though. It would be much safer to do two trips or ask someone else to drive another car with some of the children.

  2. i bet he can but, nope becuase it says 12 years or older but its up to u.

  3. depends on the height.

  4. CHILD CAR SEAT RULES

    1. BEFORE YOUR FIRST BIRTHDAY LESS THAN 20 POUNDS REAR-FACING INFANT-ONLY CAR SEAT OR CONVERTIBLE SEAT USED IN REAR-FACING POSITION, SECURED IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR.

    2. 20–35 POUNDS CONVERTIBLE SEAT USED IN REAR-FACING POSITION, SECURED IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR. LOOK FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT THAT IS RECOMMENDED FOR HEAVIER INFANTS.

    3. WHEN YOU ARE 1, 2, 3, AND 4 20–40 POUNDS FACE FORWARD IN A CONVERTIBLE SEAT OR A FORWARD-FACING-ONLY SEAT OR HIGH-BACK BOOSTER/HARNESS IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR.

    4. WHEN YOU ARE 4, 5, 6, 7, OR 8 LESS THAN 4’9” (57 INCHES) TALL BELT-POSITIONING BOOSTER SEAT (NO BACK) OR HIGH-BACK BELT-POSITIONING BOOSTER SEAT IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR.

    5. WHEN YOU ARE 8, 9, 10, 11, OR 12 MORE THAN 4’9” (57 INCHES) TALL MAY USE AN ADULT SEATBELT, BUT MUST KEEP YOUR BACK AGAINST THE SEAT BACK, YOUR KNEES BENT OVER THE EDGE OF THE SEAT, AND YOUR FEET FLAT ON THE FLOOR IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR.

    6. WHEN YOU ARE MORE THAN 12 YEARS OLD MORE THAN 4’9” (57 INCHES) TALL MAY SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OF THE CAR WITH AN ADULT SEATBELT.

  5. It depends if they are the right height.

  6. You are suppost to be 80 lb and 5 feet tall to sit in the front. It is really unsafe for this kid unless he/she is 80lb and 5ft tall. I might even be illegal! If the air bag were to pop out it would soficate the child and he/she could die! DON'T DO IT!

  7. They should be sitting in the back seat until they are 12. The airbags are more harmful than helpful to children under 12 in the event of an accident.

(But that won't stop them from begging, lol)

  8. NO, by law they must be in the back, its something like a car seat till your eight.

  9. UK ANSWER.

Yes they can, provided they meet certain criteria listed here:

    http://www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk/campai...

  10. i would say yes,  as long as the child has the appopiate booster seat if needed

  11. No.  It is ILLEGAL for ALL children under 13 years of age to sit in the front of a vehicle.

  12. in the u.s. you have to be 12. doesn't matter what the size. you should have something on your car visor that says this. they aren't just looking at the size of a child, but the development of organs, bones, etc. and how easy at younger ages can be damaged by impact and air bags

  13. No they have to be 14 and a certain height to use the seat belt in the front.  Anything younger has to have the correct facilities in place but i have never seen any law enforcement taking action against someone having a young child in the front seat or without a booster seat eventho it is the law.

  14. Why do new cars such as the Audi TT, Audi A3, BMW X5 all have iso-fix fitted in the front seat.

I regularly put my 4 year old son in the front seat of our X5, but fit the child seat first.

His head is the same height as mine so there should be no issue with the trajectory of the airbag, and even if these was no air bag there would be no issue with hitting the dash.

As long as the correct safety seat is used there is no issue in my mind...

  15. If they are over a certain hight I think they can. It doesnt really matter Im sure you wont get pulled over or arrested for letting your child in the front of the car. Too be safe I would recommend the child sitting in the back until around 10. Better safe then sorry right?

  16. Can or should ?

  17. no the legall age is twelve!!

its not safe as the child dosent fit the seat belt properly etc

  18. The important factor here is the ability to be protected by a seatbelt.

It's not a matter of age it's a matter of height.

  19. with an airbag no but without one maybe but i wouldnt because with the cars with no airbags the kids head can get thrown into the dashboard i mean i guess you could if you can turn off the airbags

  20. the legal age is i believe 12 unless they are very tall for their age
