While it can pull a skier, it wouldn't be the best choice. At 80 horsepower, the 701 take off power is marginal, and the waveraider's hull is relatively flat, which would cause some tracking problems in a turn. A lot of places also require a 3 place pwc to waterski legally , they would be the operator, a spotter, and the skier, in which case the waveraider couldn't be used.
