My Fiance and I want to go on a cruise for our honeymoon right after our wedding. She has a valid I-94 till October (wedding is in September) because she extended it for 6 months. She's here on a B-2 Visitor's visa. Would they give her a problem at customs when she re-enters the US?

  1. Call the port from which you will be departing and ask to speak to the port agent.  Whenever there's a question about documentation, this is the person that is called.  The port agent works directly with customs and immigration.  DO IT NOW.  If you need to get additional documents, you will have time.  Also make sure you get the name of the port agent and their phone number.  This way on embarkation day, if there's any questions, you can have the ground staff talk to the person you've already spoken too.  Believe me, it will save a lot of time and you'll be glad you did all this ahead of time.

  2. go to the bcis website and get a phone number for the state that you are in and call them to make sure. it will be horrible if she can't and you all didn't find out. congrats
